We also learned firsthand that Raso is an amazing cook. She spoiled us with a homemade meal and left behind step by step directions on how to make the best dolmatas we've ever tasted. Here are a few pics from our time together including the mesmerizing, mystical whirling dervishes.
Hopefully we passed the hospitality test with our first house guest, Raso Stone. Our house was her home base for about a week while she toured the city. She covered more terrain in her week here than we've managed to take in during the three months since we first stepped off the plane. I'm sure we'll continue to experience new backroads of the city with each new visitor.

I haven't visited this blog since before my trip to Istanbul, so didn't leave a comment until now 4/27/14.That was rather remiss of me, so now I would like, once again, to share my my heartfelt thanks with the Keppler family for welcoming me into, and sharing their home with me for the time I visited in September. It was one of the highlights of my travel adventures. To visit Istanbul was unbelievably rich and exciting, and to stay and feel so welcomed and cared for by Christa, Mike and the girls has left a warm, everlasting glow in my heart. Thank you dear friends for the best vacation ever! Raso
