I wanted to show you some photos from the Grand Bazaar and our day out tour. Nana is here visiting and it is her first time here!
We went on many rooftops with our tour guide. This included the rooftop where James Bond rode the motor bike on top of the roof in the movie Skyfall. I hope you like my post and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Sierra The snow surprised us all, as well as some of the Turkish practices for clearing it. Instead of shovels, they use squeegees with cardboard attached to the end to move it-not the most efficient. Most transportation was at a standstill due to the steep, narrow, curving slick roads. Only about 30% of students were in attendance at school, as busses were stuck and many families couldn't make it out of their complexes. The Turkish MInistry makes the call for school closures, and they decided to keep them open. Even though the girls didn't have a "snow day," they did have a hay day making snow angels and having snowball fights with their friends.
Each child in Aleah's class was asked to make a flag of their home country. Amazing to see how many countries are represented in one class of 20 students.
