Having the McDonalds visit was a relief. It was so great to see them! We re-visited places, and were the best tour guides (I hope). It ended up that Aleah and I were the tour guides most of the time because my dad was off to work and my mom was visiting Nana in the states. One of my favorite days with the McDonalds was their last. That day was extra special because it was the day we went to the Turkish Bath. Yes, I have been to a Turkish Bath before, but this one was different. It was better. Not because of the Turkish Bath itself, but because who we were with! I loved watching the girls and Laura experience the Turkish Bath. Eyelids closed at the end of the experience, we were all so relaxed. I loved having them here, they helped me explore Istanbul even more! We shared many special memories together and I hope that they enjoyed their stay with us. ~Sierra The McDonalds visit with us was great. We did so many cool things and explored many new places that we haven't been to. It was also nice to spend time catching up with them and talking about things about our different lives. My favorite place that we visited with them was the Grand Baazar. We showed them many different rooftops and parts of the Baazar. It was fun seeing Sierra try to bargain down the prices of the things they were buying (she was GOOD). One of their big purchases was a backgammon board that Sierra bargained down the price from 3,500 TL to 700 TL. We had many other fun and exciting experiences with them. We had an amazing time while they were here and we hope that they will visit us again.~Aleah

Yes, you were excellent tour guides and we had an amazing time with all of you. We love that when we read your posts now we have a real picture in our heads of what is happening. I hope the school year is off to a great start. We are beginning to get glimpses of fall here. Our backgammon board is getting a lot of use.
